Help a student AMP up their future with a virtual mentorship!
Womenful Voice is partnering with professional women within the community to create an Accelerated Mentorship Program (AMP). AMP is an opportunity for professional #womenforwomen to improve a young girl’s quality of life by preparing her for a future in the professional world. Together we will empower fifteen Haitian girls to achieve their goals through the support and encouragement of a trusted mentor.
Inspire Girls to Dream Bigger
Literacy rates for women and girls in Haiti lag behind Haitian men and other Latin American and Caribbean countries. When a Haitian girl looks at her country’s parliamentary leadership, she will see that women hold only 2.7% of those seats.
Haitian girls have a disadvantage in the professional world, but through a #mentorship from successful professional women, these girls can overcome the obstacles in their way. A mentor won’t just give advice and teach professional skills; she will inspire her mentee to dream bigger and set ambitious goals with a plan to achieve them.
Behind Every Successful Woman is a Tribe of Other Women Who Have Her Back
The mentors will work with their mentee to develop an action plan and learn the professional development skills that will help them professionally, uplifting the girls and giving them the tools to succeed as #womeninleadership. AMP promotes positive social impact by building skills the girls can use to better their communities as they pursue their #careergoals.
Mentoring a girl won’t just inspire the girl but will have a ripple effect across the community as she plans for the future. Mentors will provide hope for these girls that will keep them in school and on the path to success.
Become a Mentor
AMP is an 8-week program that includes a group mentorship phase to build rapport between the girls and their mentors. 1-on-1 meetings will begin in the program’s second phase, where the mentors will work with the girls to develop an actionable plan to achieve their professional goals.
